We've been trying to get pregnant for nearly a year. Through 2011, we had lots of friends pray for us, and share words, dreams and encouragement about having a second child. And our hearts were steadfast in hope. But at the end of a Mom's Prayer time in late September, my wife was telling a friend about our hopes and frustration, and another sweet friend overheard. This friend later told my wife that she felt like the Lord was saying "two months". After two cycles had passed (but not two months), we felt confused again, but our hearts remained hopeful for the God who cares for us and knows our hearts. Then again at another Mom's Prayer time - late November – a third friend walked in a said she felt like they needed to pray protection for a fertilized egg. She didn't know it at the time, but God did – my wife was already pregnant!!!

After we found out, our friend who had given us the word about “two months” had not yet heard. But she called my wife and told her that she'd had a dream that my wife was pregnant, prayed about it, and felt like God was saying that Lane was pregnant, and Lane was able to tell her, "That's because I am!!!"

We are now expecting our second child in August!
