Testimonies about our Kids...

Below we have listed several testimonies about and from our kids.

These have come from volunteers, parents, and sometimes the children themselves.

  • He Is So Kind

After tossing the ball around with a friend from house church my husband woke up the next day with a really achy knee. He complained that it was really tight and he was limping around the house. I asked if we could pray for it and we then gathered our kids to lay hands on it. Both kids prayed a simple prayer and then I asked for the God of all healing to release his power. After praying, I asked how the knee felt and my husband was shocked to report that ALL of the pain was gone and only a bit of tightness remained. WOW! God loves to sneak up on us in living rooms in the middle of our day and bless us abundantly! He is so kind.

  • I Dreamed I Got Baptized

My son woke up from his nap right before we left for Celebration on the 10th of July and told me his dream in the car on our way to church: "I dreamed I got baptized," he told me, "and you were the one who did it mommy. You were so proud of me and when I came out of the water I didn't cry at all."

We've talked about baptism a couple of times but he's always said he didn't want to and wasn't ready and has always had trouble getting water in his face. How sweet that God would give him a dream that instilled a new confidence!

THEN, on the way to Celebration I was telling him how people were going to get baptized and we were going to watch and praise God. Then he said, "Well when I get baptized tonight, I won't cry at all." He took his dream and declared its reality. I told him that he wasn't one of the ones being baptized tonight but maybe another time he could do it. He said, "The next time we baptize people I will get baptized." What a fun declaration!

  • "Mommy, We Are All Soldiers of Our God"

My son had his first dream from God that he could communicate to us. He woke up and came in the kitchen saying, "mommy we are all soldiers of our God!" he then volunteered his dream: "I dreamed there was a good guy who was a soldier of his God and he hurt a dragon to save his people, his friends from getting hurt. He cut the dragon's head off with a really sharp knife that is sharp on both sides (a sword I guess)." This is sweet cause he is now convinced of a piece of his identity that was prayed over our children over a year ago, that they would be warriors. God is showing him how to fight the enemy and be a soldier for Him.

  • I Knew that God was in My Room

My dad was reading me stories from the website of how God did supernatural things with people; including a woman who got healed of TB. I started feeling like my throat was throbbing and quivering and it was difficult to talk. When I got in bed I asked my dad if he had felt that when he read the stories. He said what do you mean and I said I new that God was in my room. He said he felt His presence too and then we talked about how king David loved God’s presence so much he spent his whole life just trying to live with God’s presence near him.

  • "Can we get a refund on this medicine?"

My daughter began to develop pain in her ear and we quickly were seen by a doctor who confirmed an ear infection. By the time we were headed to pick up antibiotics, she was crying hard, holding her ear. We sat for 15 minutes in the drive-thru at the pharmacy while she cried-inconsolably. Finally I just prayed for her, for healing, peace, no more pain. Within 1-3 minutes she was asleep and completely peaceful. We finally received the medicine and I woke her up in the care to administer it. She was annoyed we woke her up..but not in pain. Drive home-no pain. Home for 30 minutes before bed--no pain. My older son said, "can we get a refund on this medicine, because God already healed her." So cool.

  • "Mom, you will find him this week!"

My son and I usually go to Target on Monday mornings to run errands and do a treasure hunt together as our date. This week he told me that we were suppose to pray for a man in a red sweatshirt that needed money. We never found him in target, but when we got in the car Haynes said, "mom, you will find him this week!" Thursday morning I was leaving Starbucks with a friend and a man approached us. He had been injured in a horse accident and had a broken collar bone and foot. He asked us for some money for some cigarettes. We found some change and then told him we believed God wanted to heal him. We gave him the money and got to pray over him. After we left and I was telling Brian the story I realized that he had a red sweatshirt on!!! He was the treasure my son had told me to be looking for on MONDAY!

  • Rash Completely Clear Ever Since

My daughter has always had really bad diaper rash. Every time I take her to the doctor they seemed to think I was being dramatic, so I just stopped making a big deal about it. A few months ago it got really bad again, so I decided to resist my pride and take her in again. They discovered that she had MSA staff infection and that was why she was always having problems. We as a house church prayed over her, they treated her ONCE with an antibiotic and she has been completely clear ever since!!!

  • Healing and Protection

A few weeks ago the stomach bug (you know, with vomit and diarrhea) came descending upon our family. First one kid, then the next. They were out for a week! We prayed for healing for them and protection for Mom and Dad. And thanks be to God Mom only got a mild version and the bug passed Dad altogether! God is so good!

  • Worship as a Lifestyle

While driving around town one Sunday morning I asked my two boys, "What can we do to worship the Lord today? How can we show him how much we love Him?" The first one said, "I can do potty-training today." Appropriate, since that is what his current challenge is. The second one said, "I can honor my mom and dad." Again, something that God is asking him to respond to. I got really tickled with these answers because they didn't say, "sing worship music, read my bible, or go to church." They answered based on how their lives could be worship unto God; how they could be pleasing to him throughout the day. This is kingdom breakthrough! I am so delighted that I get to learn discipleship with and through my kids!

  • What God Showed Me In Lebanon

When we were reflecting the things that happened on our trip to Lebanon our four year-old son said "Going to Lebanon God showed me how to pray for people and see them healed—I love doing that now!"

  • Jesus, Heal Her Hand

My son stepped out in faith to pray for a little girl’s hand in our neihborhood it did nt get healed, but he was bold for Jesus!

My Son: “Hey, I’m going to pray for your hand, silly. Will you just come and heal her hand?”
    Girl: “Yes”
My Son: “No, I’m talking to Jesus. Jesus, heal her hand.”

  • Look, There He Is In The Sky

An athiest woman I know here in the neighborhood came by and Samuel said to her, “I had a big scrape on my knee, but Jesus healed it. Look, there he is in the sky!” He pointed up and she looked up and thought it was cute. Turns out she didn’t understand what he said so she asked me and I had to repeat it back to her. God used him to help my boldness toward this neighbor!

  • The Pain was Gone with Their Prayers

I was having horrible stomach pain one night and I would barely stand up without it hurting. My four year old and three year old boys closed their little eyes and said “Jesus will you heal my mommy?” I got up and the pain was gone. Praise God!

  • Jesus on the Soccer Team

My 5 year old son has been really shy and almost embarrassed about praying and receiving prayer. I have been asking the Lord to make Himself known to my son, that my son would know Jesus as a friend who he can talk to and trust. Tonight after Celebration, my son said, "Mom, would it be okay if I invited Jesus to be on my soccer team?" I told him that was a great idea and that he should do just that. My son ran back to his bedroom for a couple minutes and then came back to the kitchen. "Mom," he said, "I prayed and asked Jesus if he would be on my soccer team. He said 'Yes' and that he would keep us safe when we play soccer." I am so thankful that Jesus is revealing himself to my little boy and that he knows he can talk to and hear from Jesus now!

  • Healing "All the Way"

I felt very sick last week--I woke up with a sore throat and aches all over, and by the time we got to bedtime, I had a fever and wasn't feeling able to do anything. I spent the evening trying to function even as my body was crashing into the flu. Two of my sweet children, laid hands on me and prayed that the Lord's presence would come in my body and that Jesus would heal me "all the way". I woke up in the morning with no symptoms of sickness and have been feeling great ever since! Praise Jesus for his healing power, and the sweet prayers of his children!

  • 3 Year Old Has Leg Healed

"On the Sunday afternoon before Celebration, my 3 year old son ran into a small ditch at a birthday party and hurt his right leg.  He was unable to run and would surprise himself with groans when he tried to run.  He asked for our babysitter to pray for him and she did. It got a bit better but not 100%.  So I told him that we would be going to Celebration and he could ask for prayer there.  He was so excited to go to Celebration for that reason.  He said he got prayed for, incidentally the lesson for the day was on healing, and he came home with no pain running around like a normal 3 year old!"

  • 5 Year Old Prays and Sees Friend Healed!

"At our Missional Community 2 weeks ago, one of our 6 year old boys was experiencing some pain in his throat after having surgery on his tonsils and adenoids the week before.  So all of the older kids gathered around him to lay their hands on him and then one of our 5 year old girls prayed for him.  After her prayer for "everything to be back to normal it as was before", the boy immediately said, "It's better." Yeah, God!"
