Last week, I felt like God was leading me to Barnes and Noble in a specific location in OKC. When I went, I was just doing my devotional and trying to journal, but I was too distracted. I noticed a woman when I first walked in and the Lord told me to talk to her, so when I was journaling I could not write anything because the Lord kept saying “why haven’t you talked to her?” So, I looked over at the woman and realized she was using tarot cards. I immediately felt convicted that if I didn’t step out in courage she was going to leave this place believing the tarot cards. I felt the spiritual warfare going on over this woman’s heart, and knew that if I didn’t go “fight” for her the enemy would win.
So I approached her and when she looked up I said "Ma’am, I have a question, why are you doing those cards?" She began answering me and then eventually spilled out her life story. She went on to say that she was studying to be an energy psychologist and believes in “finding your energy, and harnessing your chi”. Then, she said that her entire life she never felt balanced until 2 years ago when she started this journey. She said she grew up in church and when she was younger people thought she was crazy because of the visions and dreams she had. She explained the dreams and I knew these were gifts from the Lord!!! Then I told her a little bit of my past so she didn’t think I had always grown up a Christian and never experienced where she was at in life trying to find herself.
I told her about my experience on the South Africa trip. I told her how I witnessed witch doctors use things such as tarot cards to curse people instead of heal them. I told her about a woman that had gone to the witch doctors over and over and NEVER saw any improvement and the one time we prayed to Jesus for her, she was healed!!! Then I asked why she was doing the tarot cards for that specific day. She said she just got out of a relationship, and went on to say that she was going to have her 4th surgery on her rotator cuff soon. She told me it was hurting at that moment. I told her I thought the Lord wanted to heal her, but that she had to receive it. So, we prayed and afterwards she said she felt a circle of energy moving through her arm, pushing out the pain. I said well "the energy" you are describing is actually the "Holy Spirit". She said her shoulder felt better but there was still some pain. I asked if we could pray again and explained how the Lord said “Pray on earth as it is in heaven”. We prayed again, and when we finished she said, “Thank you! All the pain has completely left my arm!” I said, “Don’t thank me, thank Jesus”. It was such a humbling, exciting experience and the Lord was just wanting someone to step out in faith so this woman would know she was loved.”
