About a year ago the Lord really laid on me a heart or foster children--for working with them, loving them, and advocating on their behalf. I was not sure what He specifically had a store for me with this. Upon graduation with my MSW, the Lord opened a position through very unusual circumstances at the Bair Foundation, a christian therapeutic foster care agency. The position wasn’t working directly with foster children and I felt extremely hesitant about taking it. I accepted the job but it was not working out the way I hoped and felt very discouraged. I felt the Lord continuing to call me there and within a matter of a few weeks a new position opened up in exactly what I had hoped for. The Lord provided a job where I am able to share His love and heart with these precious children who long to encounter the Lord’s love and with families who know and love the Lord and have a heart to see His kingdom made known.
