the kairos kids ministry is a missional movement
of the parents and kids of Norman Community Church
(Birth – 5th grade)

kairos kids gather...
In missional communities and at celebrations.
They have uniquely crafted God-centered curriculum to help them connect with God’s heart.
Children can go to a class or stay in the main service with a parent.

kairos kids love to...
Worship together, and experience God’s presence,
Pray for God to move in power in their lives, in Norman, and in the world.
Go on mission to release God’s kingdom to those who do not yet know God’s love.

kairos kids ministry equips...
Kids to know their identity and purpose in God.
And parents with resources to disciple their children.

kairos kids motto...
God created me to be His royal child;
to live like Jesus lived and do what Jesus did.

our values...
Parents are the primary disciplers of their kids.
Parents have a unique opportunity to invite children into their spiritual lives and activities.
We value the prophetic (hearing God’s voice) and we teach children to speak what He says,
for the purpose of building up, encouraging, and comforting the Church.
Prayer and time in God’s presence are to be enjoyed.
God wants to use children to bring his kingdom power to people in their sphere of influence.

spiritual family...
The whole community has a role in bringing up godly children.
This means that everyone supports and challenges parents and children
to grow spiritually, relationally, emotionally, and biblically.
We want our community to be a place outside of their home
where they are deeply nurtured and received.

safe environment...
Our screened kid’s workers take time to connect with the children and express the Father’s unconditional love to them. Our workers are trained to use our “safe and kind” policy to keep children participating in a positive way.

Any child who has had a fever, vomited, or had diarrhea in the 24 hours prior to a gathering is encouraged to stay with a parent – and not go to their class.

At our monthly celebration children are checked in at the children’s area, in their age-appropriate class. Children are checked out with a security label.

At the missional community gatherings, children meet in various areas
of the home when they are not with their parents.
