A new guy started working out my job the other day. I was listening to worship music and praying as I went about doing my job, and being entirely antisocial. As I was praying, I started feeling unusual pain in my lower right back. Since I have seen the Lord heal several people of back pain in the last week and a half, I wondered whether it was Him or me. Part of me figured I was just making it up because I really want to see Him move in more and more power. I figured I needed to act on my impression, whether it was me or not, because the only way I would know whether it was God speaking or my own imagination is by testing it out. As I was about to bring it up, I felt like the Lord told me to just talk to the guy for a while and be friendly. So I turned my music off and started asking him questions about his life. After a while, I felt like I was to pray for the dude and since no other employees were around it felt safe. I went up to him and said, "Hey man, this might be a weird question, but do you have pain in your lower right back?" And he said, "Yeah.. I do.." With a look that seemed both shocked and freaked out. Then I said, "Well, sometimes I get these sensations in my body when God wants to move in healing, and I've seen several people healed of back pain in the last week and a half. Do you mind if I pray for you?" He said that was fine, so I went over asked if I could lay my hand on his back and prayed a short prayer thanking Jesus for His healing power and that whenever He speaks, He always fulfills His word. After I was done, I felt like I was supposed to leave it (especially since we were on the clock). I told him to try it out and let me know later how it felt, and he thanked me for praying for him. After that we talked about other stuff- normal life stuff, music, career aspirations, etc. At the end of the day, I said goodbye and then asked him how he felt. He said that most of the pain went away but there was still some tension. And then as I was walking out of the room I said over my shoulder "That's awesome. Well dude, see you later! I'm sure all the pain will be gone soon! " and he said to me, "Dude, seriously, thank you so much." It was awesome that the Holy Spirit spoke to me at work, it was awesome that I was able to relate to this guy on a friend level, but my favorite thing was that after I prayed for him, he felt something. That's going to mess with him and I'm believing it's going to open up doors for God to move in His life in even more miraculous ways. Father's word never returns void!
