Monday, as I am on my way to pick up carpool I am driving down Lahoma as I often do on my way to Boyd Street. I see several people; one woman in her garden digging in her soil, the Father begins to give me words to pray for her. Then I see an Asian man walking and He gives me words to pray for him. Then He takes my eyes to an OU flag outside of someone’s home. He immediately begins to tell me He gave the colors red/white to Oklahoma in the University’s founding days. He gave them to the University as a prophetic declaration over this city.
Crimson: representing His son’s precious blood being poured out
White: representing His Holy Spirit, the white dove, the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead
That every time we see red/white we should be reminded of His prophetic declaration over the city Norman… that He, God Almighty, longs to pour His Spirit out over this city in greater measures. He loves Norman.
