A few weeks before girls’ rush had begun a few of us from Greek house church were prayer walking on campus. As we walked we decided to spend a little time praying for Rush specifically. As background, the weather the past few weeks had been miserably hot, but as we prayed I felt like the Lord said he was going to make it cooler during Rush… which is infamous for its super hot and/or rainy weather. So we just started praying that, and further more I felt like the Lord said there would be a breeze during that week and that it would be a reminder to girls how much He cared about them and the little things in their lives. Also, the week prior to rush we had a prayer/worship night to pray for rush again and I felt the same word from the Lord about there being nice weather. So we prayed it again and just started believing that the weather was going to be nice! Rush came and sure enough it was much more pleasant than it had been. Still warm, but probably 10 degrees cooler than the previous weeks and there was a great breeze! Also, on bid day (which starts about 2p) it rained all morning and so we prayed again for good weather. By the time the girls arrived at their houses the weather was perfect! It was sunny and the rain had brought a little coolness with it too! He is in control of the WEATHER! That doesn’t just mean He knows what’s going on, it means He controls it! Praise the Lord!
