As I was talking to my car after work, I noticed a young lady limping. Not just a little minor-sprained-ankle limp, it was more like do-you-need-crutches limp. Thoughts were going through my head: “Should I pray for her? Well, that would be awkward. I’m a guy and she is, well, a she. I’ll pray for her anyway. Oh wait, she is on the phone. Drat. Lord, if you want me to pray for her, I am willing. Just make it so I can be courteous.” I continued walking behind her, which was quite natural because she was walking towards my car. She crossed the street where I always do. She took a left where I always do. She slowed down and started to get in her car. Behold! No phone up to her ear. So I approached her asking, “This might be a bit weird, so feel free to refuse, but would you like prayer for your leg?” “Sure,” She said. I asked if it was okay to pray together right then and she said yes, so I began to pray “Father, if it would glorify your name I pray that you would heal this leg right now. Would you touch her leg and take away all pain and lack of mobility, in Jesus’ name. Amen.” I asked if her leg was better. She began to mover her leg around and began to smile and said, “Yeah, it is.”
